We recently had the opportunity to work with NFL Films at their studios in Mt. Laurel, NJ, where we installed our Opti-Glide Compact camera checkout system.
NFL decided to go all-in with a 10ft Underslung Opti-Glide Compact, complete with hand-crank for intuitive camera control.
To accompany their OG Compact, NFL opted for the MYT Works Pedestal to mount their camera/lens setup. NFL added a dash of functionality with a range of pedestal trays and drawers, making their workspace an organizational haven.
What makes this installation particularly interesting is the way NFL Studios chose to utilize their facility to the fullest to come up with an ingenious setup. They placed their 10ft Underslung OG Compact in a space with a functioning garage door. This way, the Pedestal-mounted camera can be rotated towards the open garage door to face a focus chart several yards away. This enables their camera operators to check out their super-long lenses for capturing those intense, action-packed sports moments. Talk about thinking outside the box—or in this case, outside the studio.
This is MYT’s first Opti-Glide installation for a major Sports Broadcasting network. We’re grateful to NFL Productions for entrusting us with this project. Seeing our Opti-Glide Compact and MYT Works Pedestal in action at their New Jersey facility brings great pride and joy to our team.
