The first-ever portable camera checkout system
That’s right! We’ve adapted the same beloved features from the Original Opti-Glide camera checkout system into a portable version with even greater customization opportunities AND at a much more affordable price.
The OG Compact can still be operated manually, with a Handwheel Drive System (hand-crank), and/or operated with a keyboard complete with preset capabilities. The OG Compact still comes standard with a Calibration-Free Encoder, a Real-Time Digital Distance Readout with a level of accuracy down to three decimal points.
What distinguishes the OG Compact from its predecessor is that it comes in a variety of mounting styles or “kits”:
The Underslung Kit is mounted on the ceiling in the same underslung style as the traditional Opti-Glide but with a far less comprehensive installation process in both time and cost.
The Grounded Kit is mounted on the floor, benefiting those who plan to use the system in a space where mounting on the ceiling is not an option. Installation can be completed within a couple of hours.
The Freestanding Kit is the most flexible and revolutionary model. It can be mounted anywhere the user desires, a table, on the ground or an apple box – essentially any level surface. This presents the ability to perform a camera checkout in nearly any setting at almost any height. We also have an optional Freestanding Legs kit available.
Before, the only option was to have a static camera with a sliding chart. Now, all three OG Compact models let you have a static chart with a sliding camera, or a static camera with a sliding chart. And so, a camera pedestal is no longer required. Of course, the pedestal is still available to mount the camera, so you have many ways to move either camera or the chart.
Each model of the OG Compact comes in 6, 8 or 10-ft variations with an optional 3′ extension accessory available.
These shorter lengths offer superior maneuverability and one-day installation. The system’s smaller footprint allows boutique rental houses, studios, and camera technicians to utilize our top-of-the-line camera checkout experience with the OG Compact’s streamlined use of space, time and affordability.
